Comparing cleaning company SEO agencies on published pricing, specialism and proof

Before you compare cleaning company SEO agencies, check who wrote the list you are reading. Thrive's roundup of the twelve best cleaning company SEO agencies puts Thrive at number one. SEO Engico's list of eight puts SEO Engico at number one. Both are published by the agency they crown.

This one is written by an agency too, so apply the same discount. What we can offer is that every claim below is either quoted from the agency's own page, which you can go and check, or stated as our opinion and labelled as such. Read on 19 September 2026.

    Thrive Internet Marketing Agency

A full service marketing agency operating since 2005, with cleaning as one industry among many. Their page states a no-contract policy and flexible month to month engagement, which is unusual for an agency of that size and worth having in writing.

Best for: a cleaning company large enough to want SEO, ads and web all bought together, and to benefit from a team deep enough that the account survives someone leaving.

Worth asking: who will actually be doing the work, and how much cleaning work they have done specifically. With any large full service shop, a two-van operation risks being the smallest account on the roster.

    Loopex Digital

Based in Glendale, California and Yerevan, Armenia, with a dedicated cleaning industry page rather than cleaning dropped into a template. Their page says they have helped 60 or more cleaning businesses, cites average organic growth of 340 percent, and shows 5.0 from 96 reviews on Clutch.

Best for: an owner who wants independent corroboration before signing. Ninety six third party reviews is more external proof than almost anyone in this niche carries, and that counts for something no self-published case study can match.

Worth asking: which client the 340 percent belongs to, over what period. A headline growth figure with no account attached is marketing until it has one.

    SEO for Cleaning Company

Cleaning only, serving the USA, Australia, Canada and the UK. Their page names eight sub-niches explicitly: house cleaning, maid services, commercial cleaning, carpet cleaning, janitorial, window cleaning, pressure washing, and move-in and move-out. They cite 3.12 million search impressions across cleaning campaigns in twelve months and 880 Google Business Profile interactions for a Sydney client in nine months.

Best for: a cleaner working a specific sub-niche, particularly outside mainstream residential. Naming carpet, window and pressure washing separately signals they know those are different searches with different buyers, which most generalists never notice.

Worth asking: how many clients they run in your country. Four markets is either useful reach or thin coverage, and only they can tell you which.

    Cleaning Business Growth

Founder-led and cleaning only. The founder states they grew their own cleaning business past one million dollars in three years before starting the agency, and the site reports more than 200 cleaning clients. The offer spans SEO, Google Ads, Meta Ads, websites, email and coaching.

Best for: an owner who wants marketing advice from someone who has run crews. Understanding churn, scheduling and the economics of recurring versus one-off work shows up in strategy in a way pure SEO knowledge does not.

Worth asking: whether you can buy SEO on its own. With a broad offer you may be buying into a wider system than you wanted.

    SEO Engico

A general SEO agency that publishes a list of the best cleaning agencies and ranks itself first on it. Their page notes that costs scale with how competitive your area is, and closes by pointing readers at their own services.

Best for: general SEO needs that go beyond cleaning.

Worth asking: what cleaning work they have actually done. A listicle about cleaning agencies is a lead generation asset, not evidence of specialism, and we cannot judge their SEO either way.

    LocalHero

How LocalHero structures cleaning company SEO across residential and commercial

Before LocalHero, all three of us worked with a large cleaning company. That is the reason cleaning is the trade we know best, and it changes what we build.

Knowing the operation means knowing what a lead is actually worth. A recurring fortnightly client and a one-off spring clean are not the same customer, and they are not found with the same page. We target the recurring searches first because that is where the year-one revenue sits, and we give move-out and post-construction work their own pages because those searchers have a date and a deposit riding on it and will book the first company that answers clearly.

It also means knowing why reviews do more work in this trade than in any other we cover. Your customer is handing a stranger a key to their home, often while they are out. That is why the review system goes in during the first 60 days rather than being tacked on at the end, and why recency matters more than the lifetime total.

And it means knowing that commercial is a different business, not a bigger version of the same one. A facility manager asks about insurance and bonding before price, signs a contract rather than booking a visit, and searches from a desk on a Tuesday. That gets its own pages, its own language and its own keyword set, because a page speaking to a homeowner and a facility manager at once speaks to neither.

On our own commercial terms: we publish the price, which as the table above shows nobody else on this page does. It runs 500 to 3,000 dollars a month across three packages, no setup fee, month to month after the first 90 days. You know the number before the call rather than after it, and the three of us do the work ourselves, so the people on the call are the people typing.

Best for: cleaning companies that want an agency which already understands crew scheduling, churn and recurring revenue, and would rather see a price than book a discovery call to get one.

Our three Upwork profiles are public with the client reviews still attached. The full approach is on our cleaning company SEO page and the numbers are in the cleaning company SEO pricing guide.

    How to choose between them

Five criteria, all checkable from a browser in about ten minutes, and all more useful than a score out of 100 with no published method.

    • Is there a published price? Not proof of honesty, but it means the quote will not be shaped around what you seem able to pay.
    • Do they name your sub-niche? Residential, commercial, janitorial, carpet, window and post construction are different searches. An agency that only ever writes cleaning has not thought about it.
    • Can you see who does the work? Named people with profiles you can open, or a stock photo team page.
    • Is the contract term published? A committed first quarter is reasonable because foundation work is wasted if you stop halfway. Twelve months is not.
    • Does each claim have a client attached? A growth percentage with no account, no timeframe and no traffic figure is decoration.

Six questions for the first call

    1. What would you fix first on my site, and why that first? A specific answer means they looked before the call.
    2. Which two clients can I telephone? Names, not logos. An agency with real clients answers in a sentence.
    3. How many cleaning companies have you worked with? Then ask what the hardest one was and why.
    4. What happens if I stop after three months? The answer tells you what the contract really is.
    5. Will you separate residential and commercial? If they do not know why that matters, they have not done this trade.
    6. What will the monthly report contain? Ask to see last month's report for another client, redacted.

Bring your own evidence to that call. Our free audit for cleaning companies checks seventeen local ranking factors and returns a graded report with no signup. Run it, hand the result to every agency on your shortlist, and see who explains it best. That is a better test than any list, including this one.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Who is the best SEO agency for cleaning companies?

There is no single answer, and every list claiming one was published by an agency that ranked itself first. Thrive's list of twelve puts Thrive at number one. SEO Engico's list of eight puts SEO Engico at number one. Compare on what you can check: whether a price is published, whether they name your specific sub-niche, whether you can see who does the work, and whether each claim has a client attached to it.

Should I hire a cleaning specialist agency or a general SEO agency?

A specialist has usually met the difference between residential, commercial, janitorial and move-out cleaning, which are four different buyers, and that shows in how they scope the work. A general agency brings more people and more services. If your site is one page trying to serve every type of cleaning, a specialist will spot it faster.

How much do cleaning company SEO agencies charge?

Almost none of them publish it. Of the six compared on this page only LocalHero does, at 500 to 3,000 dollars a month. In this market a freelancer typically runs a few hundred a month and a full service agency 1,500 or more, but you will usually need a call to confirm a figure.

How can I tell if an SEO agency's results are real?

Take the largest number on their page and try to attach a client to it. A growth percentage with no account name, no timeframe and no traffic figure is decoration. Then ask for two clients you can telephone. Logos are not names, and an agency with genuine clients answers that in a sentence.

Does LocalHero have experience with cleaning companies?

Yes. Before LocalHero existed all three of us worked with a large cleaning company, which is why cleaning is the trade we know best. It is the difference between knowing SEO and knowing why a recurring client is worth more than a one-off clean, why a move-out enquiry converts the same day, and why a facility manager asks about insurance before price.

What should I ask an agency on the first call?

What would you fix first on my site and why that first, which tells you whether they looked before the call. Then which two clients can I telephone, and what happens if I stop after three months. Those three sort most shortlists out without a second call.
